Introduction

The S.E.A LAW College was started in the year 2012 and offers both 3yr LLB and 5yr BA LLB integrated courses. The college is having best infrastructure , a well qualified faculty and has been admitting the students from foreign and non Karnataka from the beginning. it provides a well equipped library with internet facility and well established moot court. The college has been conducting national seminars on various fields of LAW and other Co-curriculum activities every year. The college organises moot court, special lectures and guest lectures by judicial officers, judges & professors who are expert in the field of LAW.

Introduction

It is essential for a graduate fo law to have a robust understanding of the social sciences. Law and social sciences share a strong mutual relationship. While a legal instrument is a mechanism to express the socio-economic and political will of the state, it is equally undeniable that the effectiveness of the legal system has a definite impact on the society. Hence a successful attorney should have a sound knowledge of the social sciences in order to appreciate how to use law as an instrument of social change. Students faulty and learning resources produces some of the best minds in the country.

Eligibility

PUC or senior secondary school courses ( +2 ) or equivalent such as ( 11+1’A’ level in senior school leaving certificate course ) from a recongnized university of India or outside India or from senior secondary board or equivalent, constituted or recognised by the central or state government or from any equivalent institution from foreign country recognised by the government of that country, for the purpose fo issue of international qualifying certificate equivalent to ( 10+2) apply for the course. Provided those who have obtained +2 higher secondary pass certificate or first degree certificate or equivalent course through distance or correspondence method, only after passing the basic qualification (1to10th std) for prosecuting such correspondence/ Distance +2 shall also be legible for admission to 5year B.A LLB course.

Minimum Percentage of Marks

Candidate who have scored 45% marks in qualifying exam ( PUC/10+2) and above case of general category (GM) shall be eligible for admission (44.5% and above all be treated as 45%) and 40% of marks in qualifying exam (PUC/10+2) in case of SC & ST candidates ( 39.5% and above shall be treated as 40% ).

Introduction

The highly innovative curriculum followed by the SEA Law College not only adheres to the recommendations fo the Bar Council fo India but it includes papers which go well with the ground reality fo Karnataka like, environmental law or management and law.

The college campus with a majestic building architecture as a temple of justice ensures personal attention and care fo the students. the college also follows a non-traditional teacher-student relationship and continuous system of evaluation to assess the performance of students from the day when he/she steps into the college os that examination does not become a mere test of memory.

Eligibility

An applicant who is graduated in any discipline of knowledge from a university established by an act of parliament or by a state legislature or an eguvlent national institution recognised as a deemed to be university of foreign university recognised as equivalent to the status of an indian university by an authority competent to declare equivalence, may apply for three year degree course in law leading to the conferment of LLB degree on successful completion of the regular program conducted under the KSLU regulations.

Provided an applicant who has passed the degree or PG directly from open or distance mode from recongnized university, after prosecuting the studies in the pattern of 10+2/higher secondary schooling is also eligible for admission to 3 years LLB. However, the applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation or post graduation through open university directly without having any basic qualification as above said not eligible to 3 year LLB.

Minimum percentage of marks

The prescribed minimum % of marks in any discipline of graduation for general category is 45% & 40% for SC/ST(44.5% and above shall be treated as 45% for GM and 39.5% and above shall be treated as 40% in case of SC/ST).
