a) These regulations shall be called “The Regulations Governing the Choice Based Credit System(Semester Scheme) in the Integrated Masters Degree Programmes in the Faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce”.
b) These regulations shall come into force from the academic year 2020-21 for the M.T.T.M. (5 Year Integrated) Programme.
The Durations of the Integrated Master Degree Programme in Tourism and Travel Management is 5 Years (5 Academic Years). However, the candidate who completes successfully four years shall be awarded a Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Travel Management ( BTTM) if the candidates opt for exit after four years. The candidates who completesall ten semesters successfully will be awarded Integrated Master Degree in Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM). Each semester shall consist of at least16 weeks of study with a minimum of 90 working days (excluding the time spent for the conduct of final examination of each semester).
Admission requirement and Admission Test:
Candidates who have completed two–year Pre–University course of Karnataka State or equivalent thereto and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate of all papers studied at the qualifying examination are eligible for admission into this course.
In the case of SC/ST/Cat–Istudents, the minimum percentage of marks required shall be 45% in aggregate(Karnataka students only).
Admission will be based on Entrance Testwhich is conducted by the concerned department/ School of Business Studies, Bangalore University, Bangalore.Rank list shall be prepared based on marks scored both in the Entrance Test and qualifying examination on 50:50 basis.
The Entrance Test will be of 90 minutes duration. The Entrance Test question paper shall contain 100 multiple choice questions. The Test Paper shall contain 20 % of questions from General Knowledge, 20 % from English language, 20 % from current affairs, 20 % from History, Geography, Philosophy & Culture and the rest 20% from travel and tourism industry.
