The department’s teaching and research areas include network, microprocessor, communications, signal and image processing. pattern recognition, electronics circuits, solid-state electronics, microwave electronics, system and control biomedical electronics, VLSI, CAD, Parallel and distributed processing. Development of non-technical skills such as communication and teamwork is also emphasized.


The department has well equipped and spacious laboratories to train students in practical applications. Various laboratories in the department are: Analog Electronics lab, Logic Design lab, Microprocessor and Microcontrollers lab, Analog and Digital Communications lab, Digital Signal Processing lab, VLSI lab, Power! Electronics lab, Wireless communication lab, Advanced Computer Networks Lab and R&D lab.
