About SEA Industrial Training Centre


The Industrial Training Centre to conduct various Job-Oriented ITI Certificate Courses. It was established to the sole objective of providing employment to rural students who, due to various reasons, are unable to pursue further studies after SSLC. An ITI Certificate provides quick and decent blue collar jobs to a vast majority, especially since the Institute is located at he Industrial Suburb of Bangalore from where there is a strong and constant demand. Education at SEA id not just a matter of learning by rote, but quite the opposite. In fact, a faculty of eminent, highly qualified professional adds students to the threshold of their minds. Not just lectures, they are motivators and facilitators who focus on interactive approach, assuring education that is appealing, attractive and alive.

The South East Asian Education Trust ® was established in the year 2000 by Sri.A.Krishnappa Ex-Minister, Govt of Karnataka with the main objective to provide academic excellence to all sections of the society. The trust focus on imparting quality education, disciplined integrated personality development, research, management skills to face the global challenges. The SEA Industrial Training centre (ITI) was established in 2004 and inaugurated by Thanveer Sait Honourable Labour Minister, Govt. of Karnataka presided by our Chairman with two trades FITTER & ELECTRONIC MECHANIC. And in 2009 ELECTRICIAN trade is also introduced. Our Institution has an experienced and dedicated Staffs, excellent Infrastructure such as well equipped laboratory, spacious class rooms, modernized computer lab with Internet facility, Huge Play ground, beautiful Auditorium, full fledged indoor and outdoor sports activities with experienced coach, a large well stocked library etc. Our Chairman has started this ITI to provide employment to rural students who, due to various reasons, are unable to pursue further studies after SSLC. Since the Institute is located at the Industrial Suburb of Bangalore from where there is strong and constant demand for our ITI students. All our ITI students have 100% placement. Most of our students who have completed their course successfully were working in public sectors like HAL, BEML, BHEL, BEL, DRDO, many more Private Sectors and also in MNC Companies.

Electronic – Mechanic - 2 years
Electrician - 2 years

Course Information on Fitter :

This course is meant for the candidates who aspire to become a professional fitter.

Terminal Competency/Deliverables:

After successful completion of this course the trainee shall be able to perform the following skills with proper sequence.
The trainees can work in the industry as semi-skilled fitter.
The trainee can work in the field of pipe fitting, lathe, drilling, welding, Inspection & measurement, general fitting work observing safety precautions.
The trainees can work on Dismantle & assemble of various valves, test the accuracy of Machine tools.
Perform simple repair on machinery, dovetail slides and assemble with location dowel pins, stud and bolts.
Prepare snap gauge for checking diameters to an accuracy of ± 0.02 mm
Handle different type of Fire extinguishers

Employment opportunities:

On successful completion of this course, the candidates shall be gainfully employed in the following industries:

Course information on Electronic - Mechanic :

This course is meant for the candidates who aspire to become Technician to Service different Electronics based System/Equipment.

Deliverables:

After successful completion of this course the trainee shall be able to perform the following skills with proper sequence.
Identify various active and passive components and their applications.
Handle different types of Electronic measuring Instruments
Identify different types of faults in electronics equipments.
Repair & maintenance computer hardware & networking
Repair and maintenance of SMPS, UPS, Inverter, solar power system and various analog and digital circuits.
Repair and maintenance of electronics communication equipments and fiber optics.
Installation of various transducer, sensor.
Repair maintenance of microcontroller based systems.
Repair maintenance& installation of LED/ LCD TV, Cell phone (Mobile).

On successful completion of the course, trainees can opt for additional NCVT certificates in the following courses by doing the Third and Forth semester since the first and second semester is common for all three Electronics courses.
Mechanic Electronic Consumer appliance (Only 4th Semester)
Technician Power Electronics Systems (3rd and 4th Semester)
Also on successful completion of the course they can pursue Apprenticeship training in the reputed Industries / Organizations.
They can have lateral entry to Diploma course


Course information on ELECTRICIAN :

This course is meant for the candidate who aspires to become Technician in ELECTRICIAN.

Terminal Competency/Deliverables:
At the end of the course the trainee shall be able to
Carryout Installation, maintenance & repair works of Electrical AC, DC, machinery, lighting circuits, domestic appliances and equipments used in domestic and industries
read and interpret the blue print reading ( Electrical layout Drawing as per BIS specification & standards)
carry out Domestic and Industrial wiring, Earthing System test electrical wiring installation , locate and rectify the faults by using megger and Earth tester
Make and solder the wire joints, wires on PCB and do de-soldering technique
Use of electrical instrument(analog/digital) like voltmeter, Ammeter, Wattmeter, Energy Meter, Wheatstone bridge, oscilloscope, Earth tester, Tong tester, etc to measure to different electrical quantities
Armature winding, single & three phase motor winding and small transformer winding
Operate, maintain and test the switch gears, circuit breakers, relays and transformer
Identify and maintain the Power Generating stations (conventional and non- convential), Transmission and distribution system protecting devices.
Construct & test semiconductor devices
Practice on using fitting carpentry and sheet metal tools.
Carried out break down, over hauling, routine & preventive maintenance of electrical machines and equipments

SECRETARIAL PRACTICE

A trainee after completion of course can take dictation in short hand from the executives at the speed of 100/40 w.p.m and transcribe it on letter heads/paper by using typewriter or computer at the speed of 80/30 wpm He/she shall be able to handle office correspondence in government and private offices. Maintain office dairy of executives and prepare their itinerary/ travelling schedules while on tour, can receive and make telephonic calls, using intercoms, answering machines etc. and can attend to inquiries, receive visitors and arranges their appointments with executives.

Eligibility for Admission: S.S.L.C.
